InRoute Quick Start

This guide is for users who have already have InRoute installed on your iPhone or iPad, that want to load a .gpx file and use it for navigation. Install InRoute from the App Store here. Note: InRoute is only available for iOS.

Setup

Open InRoute, make sure you have paid the monthly, or annual subscription fee. Note: You will not be able to use the route file without a valid, paid up subscription! It will load, but you won’t be able to use it to navigate.

A few days before the event, we’ll send an email which will contain the gpx file along with a printable version of the route instructions.

From your phone:

1. Open the email with the attached gpx file. Make sure you’ve downloaded the attachment when you’re connected to the Internet.

2. Click on the file name to open the attachment. It will open the file and display its contents.

3. Send it to the InRoute app. Tap the Share icon (in the lower left corner), then tap InRoute.

If you don’t see InRoute in the second row, you may need to scroll the row of apps to the left to see it. If you still don’t see it (and you know it’s installed), then you’ll need to scroll all the way to the left, tap the More button, and add it.

4. Restore the Route. When prompted, tap the Restore button to load the route file.

5. Start Navigating. Tap Go to start navigation. Enjoy your drive!
