Getting Started with InRoute
Note: InRoute is only available for iPhone.
1. Download and Install:
- Open the App Store on your iPhone.
- Search for "InRoute" and tap the "Get" button to download and install the app.

2. Create an Account:
- Open the InRoute app.
- Tap on "Sign Up" to create a new account.
- Fill in your details (email, password, etc.) and follow the prompts to verify your account.
3. Home Screen Overview:
- The home screen displays your current location on a map.
- At the bottom, you'll find the main menu: "Search," "Routes," "Weather," and "Settings."
4. Searching for Destinations:
- Tap on the "Search" icon.
- Enter the address or name of the place you're looking for.
- Select your destination from the search results.
5. Creating a Route:
- Tap on the "Routes" icon.
- Tap "Create Route" to start planning a new route.
- Add waypoints by searching for locations or tapping on the map.
- You can reorder waypoints by dragging them up or down in the list.
6. Optimizing Routes:
- After adding waypoints, tap "Optimize" to find the most efficient route.
- You can choose to optimize for the shortest distance or the fastest time.
7. Adding Weather Information:
- Tap on the "Weather" icon to see current and forecasted weather conditions along your route.
- You can view details like temperature, wind speed, and precipitation.
8. Starting Navigation:
- Once your route is set, tap "Start" to begin navigation.
- InRoute provides turn-by-turn directions and real-time traffic updates.
- You can switch between different views (e.g., overview, turn-by-turn) as needed.
9. Settings:
- Tap on the "Settings" icon to customize your preferences.
- Adjust settings like map type (satellite, terrain), units of measurement, voice guidance, and more.
- You can also manage your account and subscription from the settings menu.
10. Saving and Managing Routes:
- Save frequently used routes by tapping the "Save" button after creating a route.
- Access and manage your saved routes in the "Routes" section.
11. Importing and Exporting Routes:
- InRoute allows you to import routes from GPX files or export your routes for use in other applications.
- To import a route, tap "Routes," then "Import."
- To export a route, open the route, tap the share icon, and choose the export format.
12. Navigation Tips:
- While navigating, you'll see real-time traffic updates, estimated arrival times, and step-by-step directions.
- You can adjust the volume or mute voice guidance if needed.
13. Feedback and Support:
- If you encounter any issues or have feedback, tap on "Settings" and then "Support" to contact customer service or access the help center.
